Medicine is the history of humanity negotiating with its own body. The currency of that negotiation has always been “not knowing” replaced, piece by piece, with “knowing a little more.” This column is not about any single remedy or drug. It follows the cognitive shifts in how humanity has understood the body, illness, and healing: infection, anesthesia, sterilization, the unseen microbes. Each step forward was bought by a trail of missteps, yet each brought a little less suffering and a little more certainty.

医学的历史，是人类与自己身体谈判的历史。谈判的筹码，是一次次「不知道」被「知道一点」所取代。这个栏目不讲某种疗法或药物，它追踪人类看待身体、疾病与治疗方式的认知转变：感染、麻醉、消毒、看不见的微生物。每一次前进，背后都是一连串的误判，但每一步都换来了「少一点痛苦、多一点确定」。
